Commitment to achieving Net Zero
AMC-IT Solutions is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050

Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 1st April 2022 – 31st March 2023

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations:

The baseline year, currently reflects our most up to date footprint, and therefore the values are the same as the Current Emissions Reporting. We will update this, annually as required by the guidance notes

Accounting was completed using WRI Green House Gas Protocol Corporate Reporting and Accounting Standard and includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions and additional Scope 3 emissions as specified by the Technical Standards for Completion of Reduction Plans.

The operational boundary was established using the Operational Control Approach.

Baseline year emissions:

EMISSIONS TOTAL           (tCO2e)

Scope 1                                0 Tonnes.

The organisation has no Scope 1 emissions. There are no direct emissions sources under its control.

Scope 2                                   6.6 Tonnes

Emissions are entirely associated with electrical energy supplied to head office facilities

Scope 3                                  Total: 59.609 tonnes

(Included Sources)               4 – Upstream Transportation and Distribution – Both inbound logistics, and outbound sales logistics where they were paid for by the organisation – 37.260 tonnes

5 – Waste Generated in Operations – 0.131 tonnes

6 – Business Travel – 0.617 tonnes

7 – Employee commuting with optional Teleworking

Commuting – 20.935 tonnes

Teleworking – 0.655 tonnes

9 – Downstream Transportation and distribution – 0 tonnes. sold goods transportation was paid for by the organisation and is therefore included within Category 4.

Total Emissions            66.194 tonnes

Current Emissions Reporting

Reporting Year:  Same as base year. This information will be updated as part of the annual review cycle

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. They are based on the SBTi definition of net zero in the expectation of 90% reduction, and 10% removal of residual emissions with the ambition to attain that goal by 2050 in line with government commitments.
We project that our Scope 1 and 2, & 3 emissions will reduce to 0 tCO2e, 5.8 tCO2e, and 52 tCO2e respectively by 2027.
It is projected that overall carbon emissions will decrease over the next 5 years to 57.7 tonnes CO2e/year. This is a reduction of 16% which reflects a linear decrease in emissions until the target date of net zero by 2050.

Progress against emissions reduction targets
It is our intention to update this report at least annually and deliver carbon reductions each year that combine to achieve our overall objective by 2050. One we have established data beyond the base year we will be able to provide numerical comparators of progress.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
AMC has implemented carbon reduction efficiencies as part of its activities. There are limited calculated reductions due to this current year also being the base year. However significant projects have been implemented and have resulted in a reduction of emissions over a pre-base scenario.
• Increased use of teleconferencing and video meetings. The availability of these tools increased during the pandemic and we are encouraging their continued use in recognition of the corresponding reduction in business travel.
• Increased use of digital meetings to reduce business travel
• PIR lighting has been installed
• Electric Cars have been purchased and are used
• Charge points have been installed
• Car sharing scheme

• Cycle to work scheme

In future we hope to implement further measures such as:
• Solar Panels on buildings
• Further consolidation of deliveries where possible

Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
